The mission of the Stewardship Committee is to encourage our parish family to live their faith by sharing the gifts that God has given them with their brothers and sisters here. We share our gifts of time, talent, treasure, and most importantly, of ourselves.
What is Stewardship?
Stewardship is a complete lifestyle, a life of total accountability acknowledging God as Creator and Owner of all. Stewardship is a lifestyle that takes one beyond his or her church or religious affiliation. Stewardship is responsible management of our God-given resources of time, talent and treasure. It enhances our relationships with God and one another. Stewardship is living out a commitment to be Christ-centered rather than self-centered and involves a conversion of the heart. Stewardship is a lifelong journey with each person taking a different path on earth. Your journey will never be quite the same as any other person which is what makes us unique in the eyes of God.
Stewardship is not a program, a fund raising scheme, or about money and donations. Stewardship can have some programmatic elements. For example, every year parishes that teach the stewardship way of life should have an annual Renewal or pledge process. This opportunity allows parishioners to prayerfully discern and reflect on how much of their time talents and treasure they can commit to their parish and/or community. It can then become an agreement between the individual and God.
