Parents,
This is a reminder that the mandatory Diocesan Called to Protect for Youth Training will be held for 6th-9th graders on Saturday, January 10th in SMH from 9am-1pm as noted on the RE Calendar. This interactive program for middle school and high school students helps young people understand their sacredness and how to prevent others from violating their emotional, physical and behavioral boundaries.
Parents who wish to learn more about the program should go to the following Diocesan website: http://www.austindiocese.org/dept/eim/youth_parents.php. Please also feel free to give me, Ann Welch, a call at 218-1183 if you have any questions.

Would you be willing to volunteer once a month to work in the Nursery, so that others can do the same? Or, if you don't have small children, would you be interested in volunteering in the Nursery anyway?
If the answer to any of the above is yes, then please

A parishioner writes: I just read that this year Dell’s annual direct giving campaign will be Oct. 27 through Nov. 14 and felt it would be a great time to remind SJV parishioners who work for Dell that they can sign up during this period to have their tithe directly deducted from their paychecks twice a month and that it will double what SJV receives! Dell will match up to $5K per year per employee. I know for us it has been an awesome way to tithe, not only do we get to pay God first, but we get our contributions doubled!!
