Excitement is building for the upcoming Big Event on October 19^th and 20^th at St. John Vianney. The Big Event Committee is reaching out to our amazing parish groups and ministries to request assistance with one of the key fund-raising activities called Raffle Baskets. Our goal is to have 20 Raffle Baskets available for this event.

What is a Raffle Basket?

• This is the name given to a basket containing goods and materials decoratively assembled around a theme which individuals can win by Prize Ticket selection.
• In past years, these baskets would have been used in the Silent Auction.
• This year, each basket will be displayed on tables in the PAC with a large, clear container adjacent to it. 
• Individuals interested in winning the basket can place one or more Prize Tickets with their own name and contact information into the container. The probability of winning the basket increases with the number of Prize Tickets an individual places in the container. 
• Individuals can purchase one or more $1 Prize Tickets in the PAC during the event.
• A single, winning Prize Ticket will be selected during The Big Event from the container associated with each basket.

What should go into the Raffle Basket?

• The goods and materials should be new (not previously used).
• Items should be selected around a common theme. Contact Greg Galarpe to register your name and Raffle Basket theme to avoid duplication. Here are some suggestions:

What is the target value for each Raffle Basket?

• The total value for all items in the basket (excluding the decorative materials) should be at least $200.00.
• Please include a list with a description of each item as well as the cost or estimated value for each item (excluding the decorative materials).
